OH NO!!! I committed the ultimate mistake: I left my camera out over night, and in this land of little rain, of course, it rained all night!
I dried it off this morning and turned it on with new batteries but then it wouldn’t turn off, and although the memory/menu/zoom/flash were working I couldn’t see any new image on the view finder, just blank white. I’ve got it drying right now in the oven for 20 minutes sans batteries and card, as I saw recommended on the Internet. This seems to have reports of mixed success.
Unfortunately, because of the bathroom remodeling, financially I don’t see this as an opportunity for a bigger better camera right now. In fact, I see this as an unbearable time without any camera at all.
YUCK!! That means Christmas is only 3 1/2 weeks away! I don’t feel Christmasy at all.
