Discussion: a Tech Question?
I’m having some problems with some of the blogs here at Sunday Stills, it seems I can’t open some blogs. When I try Explorer closes the blog and kicks me back to my homepage, othersĀ open but no pics or posts. Anyone else having these problems? If you have the remedie I’d love to hear it..:-)
Later..Ed

Hmm, I’d try out alternative browsers like Firefox, Chrome, Safari and see if the problem persists. At least you’ll know if it’s isolated to Internet Explorer or a system-wide issue.
On my laptop, I use Safari but strangely can’t post comments on blogs that are hosted on blogger.com – so have to use Firefox exclusively to do so.

I’ve had problems with a couple of blogs on blogspot creating a loop and opening window after window. I have to restart the computer. There’s one in particular that does it every time I view their blog so I have to skip theirs.
I use Internet Explorer too and I don’t really want to change the browser.
Maybe there’s a security setting in your Explorer, Ed?

I used to have the problem that CTG Ponies has, but not lately. I am now having a problem that I can’t open blogs unless I push the control button and then push the blog site at the same time. Then a seperate window opens up for it!

I am having the same problems, esp. this past weekend. I am using Internet Explorer and like lisa, have to use the control button. Otherwise, I am kicked off. Very strange.

the only problem i have is leaving comments most are blocked or require verification codes but will not except the code given if i repeat it 3 or 4 times it will post so most times i dont go to the trouble as far as seeing the pics thats not an issue for me.

I just think blogger sucks most times! Just my personal opinion. I had a problem opening blogger sites last Sunday. I waited till Monday and it was fine. I don’t have a clue what’s goin’ on. I have had problems with the site opening over and over and over. But I don’t have any constructive help to offer.

Ed’s told me that my blog is one that he has problems with. If anyone else is having problems with mine, please let me know!
I used to have issues with Dogster.com when I posted and made lots of changes on my dog’s pages. I switched to FoxFire and it solved all my problems. I haven’t had any problems with any blogspot, wordpress, or any other sites.

Internet Explore sucks, truly people, it does. I use it rarely. I have Firefox, and now Google Chrome…it is a free download for Google chrome and you just can’t beat it for speed. Pages load quickly, like the speed of light!! Explorer will put you in so many loops and try to load so many blank pages that you will finally just give up. So go to Google Chrome!
Ok, Now I will rant. People that have word verification, in order to leave a comment sometimes the codes have to be entered two or three times. I do not have word verification on mine, and ocassionally get some spam, but it is worth it..I just delete those replies. For those of you that have both verification codes and moderation..that is a bit much people. If you moderate comments..why in the world do you need word verification??
Just my opinion.

I have no problem opening gtyyup’s blog with Safari and Firefox, don’t know whether being on Mac is a factor.
lol @ Far Side of Fifty Photos rant, and agree with the distaste for IE. Old, slow and integrates so tightly into Windows OS that popups and malware have a right good party on your system. Anything but IE is safer, and I’ve long admired Google Chrome’s lightning speed. Make the transition! Save yourseellves!!

Ok…I’m an inquisitive type and usually have to try new stuff…I downloaded Google Chrome today and am in LOVE with it!!! FireFox was definitely a step above IE…but Google Chrome is amazing! I really notice a speed difference too. It’s easy to use and I like the additional screen space I have to view web sites.
I don’t know if it will solve the issues Ed and some others are experiencing, but it’s definitely worth a try…couldn’t hurt anything…simple to download and if you don’t like it…uninstall it!

I have problems with many of them and the common demoninator is they use The Cutest Blog on the Block templates combined with me just upgrading to IE8. I have to jump to Foxfire to see them

Encouraged by the comments here, I downloaded and installed Google Chrome last night. I love it! Foxfire was a big improvement over IE, and Chrome is much easier to use (and faster) than Foxfire!
Thank you!
